9 Real Estate Agent Blogs Ranking on Google in 2023

Published by Brian E Adams on

Are you considering starting a blog to earn Google love and attract instead of chase customers?

Do any agents actually attract customers and earn money by blogging?

Here are some of the best real estate blogs by individual agents and brokerages that are actually earning traffic from Google. If you are struggling with your new blog and need an example of a successful blogger, look no further!

I used SEMRush to estimate the amount of monthly traffic each blog gets, though SEMRush estimates tend to be low, especially for hyperlocal sites. For example, it estimates Hooquest gets about 18,000 monthly unique visitors when it’s actually closer to 30,000.

List of Successful Real Estate Agent Blogs

Maximum Real Estate Exposure

I spoke about Bill Gasset and his blogging group previously when writing about guest posts. His site, Maximum Real Estate Exposure, is the #1 most cited “Realtor blog” when you look anywhere. He is a prolific blogger, and frequently writes not only for his own site but for others as well. If you want to make your chops in real estate blogging, his example is the first to follow.

Rochester Real Estate Blog

Kyle Hiscock takes his blogging seriously. It’s even in the name: Rochester Real Estate Blog.

In addition to their suite of articles, the layout of their blog section is rather unique and worth a look. It’s a gorgeous layout courtesy of Easy Agent Pro, and groups articles by buyers, seller, and the top ranked posts.

Joe Manausa Real Estate

Joe has the Tallahasse Real Estate Blog on his site, in which he posts a new blog post almost every day. Many are simple, but the key is they are all hyperlocal! They are about him, his business, a new listing, pool homes for sale, a neighborhood – great content that will keep his social media fresh and relevant to his Florida audience.

He uses Sierra Interactive for his site, one of the website providers I’ve found that seems to do fairly well in SEO.

Dwell

Dwell is another prolific blog that has some of the same topics as Joe Manausa.

In particular, they share many local stories or reporting on the area. As in the example above about the US News ranking, you don’t even need to come up with an original story. Instead, you can share your own take on news stories about your area.

It is original content and an opportunity to frame it within your own personal brand!

The Denver Ear

The Denver Ear

Take a look at the Denver Ear if you haven’t seen it already. Mor Zucker is one of the leaders of Team Denver Homes.

She also runs the Denver Ear, a site separate from her real estate site. The Denver Ear is all about Denver – things to do, where to eat, events, guides…. and gets an immense amount of traffic.

In fact, she makes money from her site from advertisers – before buying or selling a single home! This is an amazing example of the potential your real estate blog has not only to generate leads but to diversify your income.

Bubbleinfo.com

Jim Klinge is a Realtor at the Klinge Realty Group and owner of the site bubbleinfo.com,

He posts short entries very regularly. It doesn’t seem as though he pays much thought to optimizing his content for Google search engines, but the regular and insightful blog has high engagement. You can tell he has a loyal audience.

His site features more than just real estate blog posts. He frequently writes opinion pieces about the big picture stuff going on in real estate, and brings a refreshing and analytical approach. He is worth a follow even if you are not a San Diego home buyer or seller!

Ruby Home

RubyHome.com is the content site for Tony Mariotti, a Los Angeles agent who got his start in the tech world.

Tony owns two other sites at Luxury Homes Los Angeles and Great Vancouver Homes, both of which also get 5 digits worth of organic monthly traffic. He is a team with another agent in Vancouver. Tony does the website and marketing, the other agent shows and sells homes!

Tony apparently loves writing and content generation and his family of websites is definitely worth diving into!

Raleigh Realty

Raleigh Realty is a brokerage founded by Ryan Fitzgerald that takes content marketing and blogging seriously. Its REW site proudly does not force registration, and it ranks well for numerous keywords earning lots of traffic.

They have content oriented toward real estate agents, too, like 17 Realtors® Go Back in Time: First Year Real Estate Advice!

Great Colorado Homes

Andrew Fortune has knocked SEO out of the park, managing to rank in the top 5 for “homes for sale in colorado springs” on Google.

His site, Great Colorado Homes, is yet another REW website that pulls in high intent search traffic mostly focused on neighborhood and zip code searches. But he has an active blog as well that earns long-tail love.

His site is also a great one to get quality infographic and housing market update ideas.

Getting Started Blogging

I’ve written a thorough post on how to get started blogging for your real estate business. I’ve also written about search terms and example post types. There are literally thousands of real estate blog content ideas I can think of for any market. There is no reason for writer’s block.

There is also the Facebook Group Real Estate Bloggers – A Group Designed To Help Promote Helpful RE Content! Members share their own content, snoop for ideas, or ask blogging questions from some of the above bloggers.

Real Estate Industry News and Opinion

If you are looking for good sites to follow to stay on top of real estate industry news and your craft, I have you covered there, too!

Conclusion

You don’t need to blog to be a successful agent. The vast majority of agents don’t, including successful ones. Some agents don’t even have websites. Don’t feel obligated to put time into a blog if it isn’t going to be a main pillar of your business.

But for those who are interested in inbound content marketing and an “attract” instead of “chase” lead generation system, blogging can work with effort and patience! These real estate professionals prove it!
