13 Funny, Viral, and Weird Real Estate Videos in 2021

Published by Brian E Adams on

So you’re thinking about making a real estate ad. And to get the best bang for your buck, you want it to go viral on social media, looping in new buyers and sellers to your little ecosystem.

Well, here are some ideas to get started brainstorming with!

Mark Z

Mark Z is one of the top agents in America, and enlisted his kids in this fun promotional video.

Gabe Mendez

This was off YouTube for a while. I guess a copyright claim? But you can’t have a list of viral real estate videos without Gabe Mendez who introduced 1.5M Realtors to “the floss” in this brilliant listing video.

Sean Johnson

@johnsonfiles

Anybody else in this crazy fight for a home?? #realestate #housingmarket #comedy #funny #realestatetiktok #realestatehacks #houseshopping #fixerupper

♬ original sound – The Johnson Files

Sean Johnson isn’t a Realtor. But his viral TikTok video certainly struck a chord for real estate professionals and home buyers alike in the 2021 market.

Sean Cochran

Sean Cochran got a leg up from one Garth Brooks in this music video showcasing his value proposition to clients.

I don’t know how many buyers and sellers he might have earned from it, but he certainly got the attention of Inman.

Reilley LePage

Looking for a tasteful but fun way to do personal branding with your listing video?

Reilley LePage put together this excellent piece showcasing his property and its features and benefits that aren’t obvious on an MLS printout.

Benjamin Beaver

Benjamin Beaver takes videos much more seriously than your typical agent. He actually is a cofounder of his own video media production company!

This is some of the funny promotional ads he put together early in the enterprise.

Smith Group

Have you ever wondered what it would look like if you spent $50,000 on a listing video?

No?

Well, if you were wondering, it might look something like this from the Tim Smith Group in Orange County on a $45M listing.

If you’re not familiar with the original song, here it is.

Team Denver Homes

Unfortunately, trying to be humorous carries with it risks.

This video from The Denver Home Team backfired spectacularly. So badly that the team was fired from their brokerage. The video ran afoul of anti-gentrification advocates in Denver.

Personally, I don’t see it. It was clearly a fun attempt at humor, riffing on a beloved sitcom. I hope the team has landed in a better place with a better broker. But you can be the judge!

Century21

This was a Super Bowl ad in the 2013 Super Bowl between the Ravens and 49ers, featuring some notable star power.

Century 21 has done a few Super Bowl ads over the years.

Andrea Madison Romero

Here is another music video parody from Andrea Madison Romero.

Andrea uses video as a major cornerstone of her brand and online marketing.

The Broke Agent

The Broke Agent is a side project by Eric Simon in LA. He has put together several parodies of our industry, the above being an example.

His videos feature a little bit edgier content than what other agents are willing to do. Some may be NSFW.

LadyHauza / Chrissy Mallouf

Chrissy Mallouf brought on some help from Kelli Hauser, aka “LadyHauza”, for this video parody of Bruno Mars.

The Harris Group

This video is 10 years old, but has aged just fine!

This real estate agent is a bad agent. Grady Harris is a good agent!

Bonus: Creative Listing Videos!

Check out this incredibly unique listing video from Chris Kwon! What a different way to sell a home!
